The Mustang was not available in a 4.6L option until 1996. It was either the 2.3L 4-cylinder, or the 5.0L 8 cylinder GT option. Stock horsepower on the 2.3L motor was 85. Stock horsepower on the 5.0L motor was 225.

If it's just the plating just damaged, I would highly reccomend having it replated. The other option is to put a sleeve in the cylinder.
The 6 cylinder Mustangs came with 2 transmission options Base option was a 3 speed manual which could be upgraded to the 3 speed automatic .
