I'm not familiar with MS Paint but there's an easy way to do both regular and irregular shape cropping in programs that use layers. Draw the shape you want, fill it with black (or any dark color), drag its layer below the image you want to crop, highlight the shape's layer and click on the shape with the Magic Wand. Now click on the image's layer to make it active (you should see the selection on the image). Invert the selection and press Delete on your keyboard. Delete the shape's layer and you'll be left with an irregularly cropped image.
