What is all cellular level membranes for the whole organism the skin?

Maintaining Boundaries.

Which type of molecule forms the cell membrane?

The basic structure of cell membranes is a phospholipid bilayer. Phospholipids have a phosphate group (the head) and a lipid tail.

Why do all cells need semi permeable membranes?

cells need semipermeable membranes because, items need to come in and out of the cell in order for it to function or it will die.

Does a leaf mesophyll cell have cell wall?

Yes. All plant cells have a cellular wall, while animal and bacterial cells have cell membranes.

How are highly folded membranes an advantage fo the function of cellular parts?

One example ; The brain, if you look at the brain it looks like a lump of wrinkledgrayish tubes, split into sections,. Well imagine if you were to unravel the brain ? you couldn't, but you can 'unfold' it ! when you do this you can then see that it is a carefully folded mass ( for want of a better word!!!) of membranes, vital for the protection of precious brain cells, which unlike other cells in the body, do not replace however some very few compared to the amount of brain cells we have, can repair. So these highly folded membranes are a huge advantage in protecting, and providing the cellular parts .to function correctly and not get confused while in the process of developing the complete cell ,which then as you know has to go on to multiply and fulfill the task that this very special complex little component has been set to do ! So look at the brains folds, and picture one tiny cell, well within that cell are these folded membranes enabling all the tiny cellular parts to take the correct microscopic paths to their correct destination within the cell safely!.....the parts 'function' as they should to produce healthy complete cells.........HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND MY RAMBLING !!!!!!!..........
