What volcano has gofers?

The Malakalunia Volcano has gofers which create intricate systems of underground tunnels throughout its base. Discovered in 1923, the Malakalunia gofers, known in some circles as simply, 'the malakalunia', sufered from an increase in the thermal temperature in and around the volcano. This condition destroyed the food supply of the malakunia and their economy fell into a deep recession. To raise funds, the gofers allowed their tunnel system to be used in the filming of the 1983 children's tv series, "Fraggle Rock". After many successful years the show's audience eventually grew up and also the first Nintendo gaming system was introduced. The show was cancelled in 1987. These conditions, combined with an influx of methamphetamine from the neighboring Doozer population, lead to the eventual extinction of the malakunia in 1994.
