Can you afford it? a lot of college students don't have extra money laying around to spend on an expensive laptop. do you need a long lasting battery? gaming laptops are very well known for crappy battery life. even on integrated graphics (graphics card shut off) and on power saver mode, with my 9 cell Li-on battery lasts about an hour and a half. the extra power a gaming laptop has eats battery for breakfast. The money your going to spend on the laptop you could spend on a cheap laptop, and a gaming desktop. you could get a gaming desktop with the same gaming power for half the cost the laptop will be. so buy a desktop that has the power you want, then buy the cheapest laptop you can find. my opinion: No it's not suitable. But it can be used if you are determined to do it.
