2.0megabytes is a good speed to have
The time to download a torrent on high speed internet can vary accordingly. The speed will be determined by the size of the torrent the media contained in the torrent. It can also be determined by the capability of the computer being used.
Most products or services advertised as internet boosters are scams. Primarily the speed of your internet connection is determined by the quality and specifications of your connection to your ISP or internet service provider. Some download managers help speed up downloads by splitting them in to multiple files and downloading them from multiple places at once. This helps if your connection is fast but where you are downloading from is not.
As a general "good internet speed," most video game console manufacturers recommend at least 3 Mbps of download speed and 0.5 Mbps to 1 Mbps of upload speed. Source: Gospeedcheck
You can find software to check your broadband speed from your internet service provider. There is usually something you can download on their website if you look.

Generally, yes. Higher broadband internet means that you can download things quicker, and that your computer generally runs faster. If you are looking for speed in your internet service, a broadband internet deal is for you.
Not a good Idea, it is illegal
This is usually an issue with the internet browsing and/or download manager. To download a 1GB file at 2kbps usually describes either the sever being overwhelmed and it cancels the download, or something wrong with your internet connection. To download a file huge as that with a low speed usually doesn't sustain a connection. The best solution for this is to run a speed test. you may go to google.com and type in speed test and see if its a good range. If the speed test is successful and defiantly higher than the 2kbps its your download that's no good and you will have to try elsewhere. If the connection is still terrible, please consult with your ISP for more information. Hope this helps!
