Snake
he he he hi its my first time answering i think the answer is an amphibian hi have a nice day
If something spends most of it's time in the sun it's probably cold blooded
the first reptile would be the alligator and crocadile they have been here dinosaur time and they are the oldest living reptiles alive today.
Crocodiles are not amphibians, they are reptiles. Amphibians are animals that have an aquatic lifestage with gills (such as a tadpole), and then another lifestage with lungs (such as a frog).
Maryland does not have (at this present time) a state amphibian.
A proto-amphibian is an organism that is like, probaly half fish & half amphibian. They appeared in the late Silurian, the time when the fish with jaws evolved legs.
That would be a reptile called a tuatara.
In European Legends they're said to look reptalic, but it contridicts other European legends about them. Reptiles are cold blooded and dragons couldn't have been cold blooded because they were said to live on snowy mountains, where it'd be too cold for a reptile to survive.
the amniotic egg first evolved during the Carboniferous period. It evolved from amphibian ancestors and gave rise to the predecessors of reptiles and eventually gave rise to reptiles. not sure if that answers your question or not... be more specific next time.
A typical amphibian lives on the land until it is time to breed and lay eggs, when it returns to the water.
