For questing, try a bear, turtle, or crocolisk. All three of those are tanking pets and can hold aggro off of you till you can kill the mob.
For Dungeons, you might want to try a cat, wolf, fox, or one of the birds. These are DPS beasts that provide high damage, but cant tank all that well. Be sure to turn the auto-taunt off when in groups for dungeons, this will help the tank.
Originally, prior to Cataclysm, you had to talk to a specific trainer. Speak with a Hunter trainer and he will direct you where to go. After Cataclysm, hunters automatically get a pet at level 1.
Assuming you bought the Collector's Edition, you will get a mini Deathwing pet. Otherwise, the normal edition has no extra pet.
Cataclysm Patch.
Each race that has the hunter class available has a different quest for it, although they are all pretty similar: go tame this beast with this special thingy and come back. However in cataclysm, you will start out with a pet already tamed and with you from level one. Each race will have a different starting pet. When you reach level 10, you will gain the ability to train any beast.

'Tame Beast' You get it at level 10 from the hunter trainer in the first town/settlement after your race's starter zone, through a quest.
No, as Cataclysm is meant for World of Warcraft, not Warcraft 3.

First and foremost, to become a Worgen, you need to have an account that is paid up to Cataclysm. If you did not purchase the Cataclysm expansion, then you can not be a Worgen.
Depends on what kind of addons they are. You don't need Cataclysm for alot of them, though.
