It depends on the guitar and amp, it could fall in a broad range of prices.
Electric guitars require an amplifier. Acoustic's will need a microphone and a speaker/amp if it is not acoustic/electric. Hope I answered your question well. Good Luck.

You sure can! although the tone will not be as good as if it was a specified guitar amp it will sound just fine.
Cort have made some good guitars and if the one you want to buy for $125 is in good condition and well looked after, then it is a fairly reasonable price. It would be a bargain if you got a case and amplifier with it.
It would be impossible to give a totally accurate amount that you would get for a Starmaker electric guitar with amp, but some are going for approximately $50 ionline.
depends on the amplifier settings for electric vs acoustic. if neither guitar has any electricity going through it to the untrained ear all you will hear is a subtle difference in volume with an electric guitar plugged in and distortion more aggressive and fuzzy I guess would be a good way to put it.
If your asking which is better I would say an acoustic guitar. Because you don't have to buy an amplifier or anything like that you can just start playing and practicing right away.
You need a working amplifier. You plug the amplifier into an electrical outlet, then you plug the guitar into the amp (via a patch cord). Turn on the amp, turn up the volume and you are good to go. Use what ever is available to make the strings sound.
Look on a good website GuitarCenter.com, Musiciansfriend.com, sweetwater.com, etc.
Depends on what you want to play, If you want to play acoustic stuff then yeah! If you want to play rock, blues, metal or anything along those lines I'd recommend an electric. It's often a good idea to have both an electric and acoustic guitar. If you get an electric don't forget that you will need an amplifier.
If you have money, go to any guitar or music shop of good repute and look for one. For example, guitar center is an excellent shop. If you are on a budget, do some research on guitars in general and scour pawn shops to try and find a good one for a good price.
An acoustic guitar, fender also has the acoustic electric t bucket. It looks really nice for a nice price. The reviews are good too. You should get it!
