Try , If you can find them these days, Rubber-band powered gliders- and as these are techniclaly powered airplanes, you could get into the aerodynamics involved- lift , thrust power output, etc. Most of the better ones will ROG Rise Off Ground, usually pronounced to rhyme with (Frog). For example Top Flight Jigtime series ,
