I suppose that would depend on what kind of betrayal. Is this research, or is this a personal essay about a betrayal that happened to you?

In the first case, the title would have to be a little bit different... maybe even a little bit boring, like "Military Betrayals in British Naval History Pre-World War 1" or something.

If it is personal you don't want to go too histrionic in the title, because you want the betrayal to hit them at the climax of the story, so you might go with something alliterative like "Blessed" or "Beneficial" Betrayal to show how your life actually got better after something really bad happened. Or, if you are still wallowing a little, you could go with "Beauty and Betrayal," which is a little over the top, but it kind of gives the idea of how you get drawn in by the beauty and attraction of all of it and then get slammed by the betrayal, because what you actually saw and believed in was only an illusion.
