Considering that most of the women who participated were tough, working-class, strong women--including the so-called poissonards (fishmongers)--the Oct. 5, 1789 march on Versailles could be called Ladies for Loaves (and Fishes), or Broads for Bread. And no, that second one isn't meant disrespectfully at all. They were champs. If the women hadn't been there, it's likely that the confrontation at the palace would have been a lot more bloody, at the expense of the protesters, not the guardsmen.

The Treaty of Versailles was not a good idea. It forced Germany to take both the blame, and the harsh punishments, that came with losing the war. It was too heavy handed and ended up actually bringing about World War II.
