There environment is usually in tall grass example hay and if your keeping them as a pet then you want to have a decent size cage and then cut up a sponge and soak it with water and put in said cage then you may put sticks in there and a rock or two and put a few leaves and some grass and carrots or broccoli or some kind of vegetation and make sure to clean the cage and keep soaking the sponge every few days.
Think about it. They live in a grassy environment. And the jump.. or hop. Grasshoppers! :)
From the environment in which they live. They are plant eaters.
Grasshoppers respond to their environment very well. Their strength to fend enemies is their hind legs. They have the ability to jump 20 times more than their length.

Grasshoppers are cold-blooded insects. Grasshoppers control their temperature via external means by taking advantage of the environment around them, such as resting in sunny spots or cooling in the shade.
They are laid in the soil I think. Where the environment is suitable and where resources are available. Hope this helped you:)
Grasshoppers will swarm, but usually, like people, they become stressed and angry.
If a pesticide is released into the environment that kills most of the grasshoppers. it would interrupt the food chain in which the grasshopper participates. It may limit the presence of locust swarms that have decimated food crops throughout history. It may also be a problem for predators that feed on grasshoppers and may have to rely on other insects. It is also very likely that a pesticide that kills most grasshoppers will also kill other insect types and this may be a problem.
For example if a whole bunch of grasshoppers come hopping in your front yard it can be helpful because other animals can eat them. But if the grasshoppers eat other insects that will be harmful.
HOW MANY BABIES DO GRASSHOPPERS HAVE?Common Grasshoppers usually have 80 - 400 Grasshoppers each time. Large brown Grasshoppers (Mallimitoes) can have up to 700 babies, though.
