That would be "Chlorophyll".
chlorophyll
The different pigments that are present in plants:1) Chlorophyll a- Is the pigment directly involved in harvesting light energy. It absorbs blue-green light.2) Chorophyll b- Absorbs yellow-green wave lengths.3) Caroteniods- Absorbs blue/violet, and reflects Orange.4) Xanthophylls- Absorbs yellow pigments.5) Anthocyanins- This is found in the vacuoles. Absorbs red, violet, and blue. All other the pigments are accessory pigments because they pass their absorbed energy to chlorophylla or they play an protective role.
Due to prescence of green pigments (chlorophyl) leaves of plants appear gree to us.Because they abosorb the sun light having wave lengt of about 510 nm. This light has green color therefore they look like green.
Chlorophyll, which is the green part of the leaves.
There are three pigments that are found in a geranium leaf. The three pigments are chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and carotenoids.
Leaves appear green because they contain chloroplasts that are green in color. The function of these chloroplasts are to absorb sunlight and convert it into energy for the plant to feed on. In order for us to be able to see an object, the object must reflect light and in this situation the chloroplasts reflect sunlight and leaves appear green.
The leaves are green because of the chlorophyll pigments.
Chlorophyll
They are called chlorophylls. They are pigments of photosynthesis.
They are the chlorophyll pigments. They absorb frequencies from visible light
plant leaves consist of chlorophyll pigments. pigment absorbs particular wavelength for the energy production blue, orange other wavelength light absorbed by pigments but not green light. green light not absorbed so it reflected back. our eyes detect the reflected green light so plants light green.

Its the same thing as the leaves on the trees. The pigments have many colors and the sponge absorbs them all exept one color which happened to be green. The green is refracted back and so forth.
There are many pigments that absorb light energy. They are as follows:Carotene - an orange pigmentXanthophyll - a yellow pigmentChlorophyll a - a blue-green pigmentChlorophyll b - a yellow-green pigmentPhaeophytin - a gray pigmentThese are all/most of the pigments in a leaf that absorb light energy.!!
They contain pigments which absorbs color of light. They reflect green light
