The wire with green/yellow insulation is the circuit protective conductor "cpc" generally know as the earth.
This wire provides a return path for electricity under fault conditions to ensure that the circuit protective device (fuse or circuit breaker) operates quickly enough to disconnect the circuit from the supply.
It should be present and properly connected in all standard UK domestic and commercial circuits.
Were a fault to develop in an appliance with with metal casing such as an electric cooker, without the cpc the metal casing would be live and remain so until a person or animal came into contact with it. At this point the fault current would flow through them usually with lethal consequences.
It should be light green with a yellow stripe, it is hot for the memory. The yellow with black stripe is for ignition.
The following applies to the UK Blue wire goes to neutral Brown wire to live Yellow/Green stripe wire to earth
The Toyota Tundra stop light switch cold wire is green. Sometimes the wire is green with a yellow stripe circling around the wire.
According to my book, it should be a light green with yellow (probably a yellow stripe)on it.
It's blue where it connects to the horn assembly, but else where it is yellow with green stripe.
dark green and light green=front right speaker tan and light blue=front left speaker blue with orange stripe and blue with black stripe=back right speaker black with brown stripe and yellow with blue stripe=back left speaker +wire is orange and purple -wire is yellow* *there might be a few yellows just try each one you will get it right
Splice red wire too: on all the time------------red with yellow stripe on high beam-------------yellow on low beam--------------green
In a DC circuit Red is positive and Black is negative. In AC systems White is neutral and Ground is green or green-yellow stripe.

The colour of earth wire is yellow and green now you may ask why well the reason is that the green one as well yellow color is used as Earth's wire. This is because the green and yellow type wires are for grounding purposes or we can say earthen purposes. Green colored wires are used in an electric circuit for grounding.
where does the yellow wire with a black stripe on it connect for dimmer lights, panel lights, and gear shift lights, for a 2000 Mitsubishi galant
