you can only put one wire under one lug for neutrals (grounded conductor). grounds (grounding conductor) can be doubled up as long as they are the same gauge under one lug
New dryers should not need a grounding strap. The fourth green wire in the plug cable should have a lug on it and it connects to the frame of the dryer.
In whole, wiring of most circuits are fed with a #14 wire cable rated at 15 amp circuits. In this case a #14 ground wire would be used. There are some individual cases where a #10 cable set uses a # 10 solid ground wire. This size conductor can be formed into an eyelet and fastened to the device with a screw and washer.Any ground wires larger that # 10 must be terminated into a wire end lug. This lug can be of the set screw or compression variety. The lug is then connected to the device with a screw which then grounds the device to the electrical distribution's ground bus at the panel board end.

I think you're talking about a grounding connector that allows multiple connections to be made to it, thus looking like a 'Star' when viewed from above. This would be opposed to a single-connection 'jack' where only one connection is made to the 'jack', or lug.

No they can't as 6 lug is an entirely different pattern than 5 lug
