its pretty simple use opisits such as water vs rock and so for make sure that you keep up to the badges like when you get mistyes make sure you are lvl 20 after you get it not before because your Pokemon wont lesin to you then

its pretty easy brok almost any one can beat if you use the starter and one other Pokemon above lvl13

a eevee is the next best choice because you can change it up if you are missing a type of Pokemon such as electric fire water it should fill it in. trust me they help the most of all Pokemon.

oh and if you get TM use them remember they help alot try and teach moves that effect all differrent types don't train on guy for one thing it wont help you out at all train every one for every thing. okay ex: squardal bubble scratch and to other moves that well effect 2 other Pokemon like for instance my lvl100 charzard has fly flamethrower and blast burn and slash

flamethrower+blastburn =grass def

fly make good water def for one turn and does good damage

slash= good all around def

all together that makes eccellent Pokemon

just the best advice is stay high lvl as close to the badge lvl with out going over.
