It really depends on the breed. Mine (which is a Syrian) likes to have cheese, sunflower seeds and lettuce, but try experimenting. Do not give them garlic, any citrus fruits, chocolate, anything sweet or sticky or anything fried ...etc.A dwarf's favorite food can be grapes,sunflower seeds and banana. Give all of these in small amounts.
Carrots are good for keeping their teeth short and act as a great toothbrush!

Hamsters can eat a lot of foods but mine likes cabbage, lettuce, and carrots the best for veggies. Apple and banana is her favorite fruits.
They really like sunflower seeds and watermelon. But you should only give them tiny pieces of watermelon at a time, if you give them too much they can get diarrhea.
