I might be wrong but what i can gather a hard coastline is a coastline that is surrounded by hard resistant rock like limestone. By being surrounded by hard rock it is more resistant to wave power which means that it will erode at a much slower rate. Hope this helped:)!!
a rocky shore
Made up of clay and sands. Erodes quicker than hard rock which is limestone or chalk. Not resistant to weathering and erosion. Eroded quicker than hard rock which creates a bay and the hard rock is called a headland. When you have hard rock then soft rock alternating it is called a discordant coastline.
It doesn't destroy the coastline, it doesn't involve hard engineering or much money, and it is almost permanent.
it has a coastline
The Coastline was created in 1983.

Miami has miles and miles of coastline. It will be hard not to find a room with a view of the water in Miami.
The answer depends on which method you use to determine the coastline. If you use the general coastline method, then Florida has the longest coastline on the Atlantic Ocean with 580 miles. North Carolina is second with 301 miles of general coastline. Maine is third with 228 miles of general coastline. If you use the tidal coastline method, then Maine has the longest coastline on the Atlantic Ocean with 3,478 miles. North Carolina is second with 3,375 miles of tidal coastline and Florida is third with 3,331 miles of tidal coastline.
A coastline is not an area.

The country with the longest coastline is Canada with 152,100 miles of coastline. The country with the smallest coastline is Monaco with a coastline of 3.5 miles.
