Because they are the king of the jungle!
Early favorites are the Packers, Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, Saints, and Lions.
Antelope, Tomas's gazelles, smaller animals such as young lions and hyenas.
Hyenas are very powerful especially in numbers so lions try to keep their distance. Hyenas usually try to play tricks on lions to they can grab the meal and run away.
Both male lions and lionesses hunt. While lionesses do the majority of the hunting in a pride, male lions will also participate in hunting when needed. Male lions often rely on the females to make the initial kill and then join in to share the meal.
Lions are carnivores and usually eat large prey such as zebra, buffalo, and antelope. In the wild, they do not have a specific meal for breakfast, but will typically hunt for food whenever they are hungry.
are you counting humans? if you are, they protect themselves by running and the only other predator is other lions and they fight other lions.
they wouldn't normally attack or harm humans unless they felt threatened or were being attacked by them. However there are some cases were lions mistake people as food (e.g. at night) they are opportunistic animals and will take a meal if they have the opportunity to do so. There are more cases of people killing and injuring lions than lions attacking humans =)
In zoos, keepers handling the lions would feed them themselves but in the wild lions would scavenge off other caucus or catch their own by hiding behind long grass and sneaking up behind their pray and jumping up and catching it at the last minute.

Lions typically drag their prey to a more secluded area to eat, such as under a bush or in tall grass. This helps prevent scavengers from stealing their meal and minimizes the risk of other predators detecting them while they eat.
