The best way to describe a motocrossboard (MXB) is to say, it's like a motorcycle that the rider stands on and steers in the same manner as snowboard or skateboard, etc. while holding the throttle and brake in their hand. It gives you the ability to "go Snowboarding", everywhere you would usually ride a motorcycle. It has 2 in line wheels, a motor and front and rear independent suspension. The front suspension and steering system are what differentiate it from simply being the same a motorcycle or scooter.
