50 mg a day twice maybe stupid
Goldberg treats only real pain...not the fake pain that needs methadone
It varies depending on what its being taken for, if its for chronic pain, the average daily dose is between 60 to 80mgs. If its being taken for opiate abuse, the dose can vary greatly, you are usually started at 10mgs and increased by ten mgs every three days until you feel the effects.
80 mg of methadone is the average nationally..... its not a high dose and its not a low dose its the ....... average dose. im on 55 and i am feeling great.
yes you can take it instead of or with they use methadone to treat pain and or withdrawals for oxycodone
Hydrocodone works well. But for cronic pain you might build a tolerance to it quickly and it wont work as well, plus hydrocodone is very short acting, 4-6 hrs, unlike methadone that shoud last up to 12 hrs. If you continue to take methadone the euphoric, drowsy side effect should subside as you build a tolerance to it but the pain relief shouldent change. To offer a sutible alternative i would need more information on what kind of cronic pain you have...like for migraines you could try somthing like imitrex, ect. Also.... You may need your dosage changed, I was once on it and was a zombie, they adjusted my dose and i was back to normal, also I prefer methadone because there are little to no sideaffects. I don't feel stoned, and that's a big plus!! If you are drowsy on methadone, you are on too high of a dose. Have it adjusted ASAP. Do not get into the pills because they are not as easy to control. Best of luck to you.
Any doctor can persribe methadone to a patient as long as there is just casuse. However many doctors won't because of the risk of addiction. If you ahve pain that seriously need attention I recommend seeing a pain doctor. Or someone who specializes in chronic pain.
Methadone is prescribed for addiction to opiates and in some cases it is prescribed for pain management.
No, 5mg's is a minimal amount of methadone. Although, methadone, as a drug, is very strong and very long lasting so I do not recommend taking methadone without contacting a physician. Most people who walk onto a methadone clinic get a starting dose around 20 or 30mg's a day.
Yes you can, I am taking 60mg codeine, 70mg diclofenac 2 paracetamol and 4 mg diazepam for chronic Back pain in one dose.
Methadone is a synthetic opiate used to help treat Heroin / Opiate addiction, it is also used in chronic pain managment. It produces many of the same effects of morphine or heroin.
2 mg
Yes, depending on how high of a methadone dose you are on. Methadone will clog your opioid receptors and make it hard for any other opiate to act in your brain. Usually, any dose higher than 40mg's will block other opiates.
