The nucleus of an atom is made of two subatomic partials called protons and neutrons; Protons are positively (+) charged. Neutrons have no charge at all, and are where most of the weight in an atom come from.

When we consider "nuclear particles" as was asked, we might think of atoms. Atoms are made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. If we consider nuclear particles as the particles in the nuclei of atoms, we have to look closer. The nucleus of an atom is made up of what are called nucleons, and they are the protons and neutrons in atomic nuclei. If a further breakdown is needed, protons and neutrons are made up of what are called quarks. There are two up quarks and a down quark in a proton, and two down quarks and an up quark in a neutron. The strong force (strong interaction) holds them together, and gluons are the expression of that binding force. Links can be found below.
