The bones and indigestable objects all get clumped together in a pellet. The owl basically regurgitates the pellet.

an owl pellet is a clump of indigestible parts of its prey it had just eaten. It is shaped like it's gizzard since the pellet stays there until thrown up. That process takes about 10 hours. They're mushed together in side its organs. GIGGLE FART

owl pellets are their droppings or excretion which is a better word for it. they are made of all the things the owl cant digest such as bones, fur, cartilage and other stuff.
