Multiply width by length to get the area. The answer would be 252 square feet.
1x252, 2x126, 3x84, 4x63, 6x42, 7x36, 9x28, 12x21, 14x18,
Depending on doors and windows that is approximately 500 sq.ft or 16 standard boards.
Multiply the two dimensions to get the area. In this case the calculation gives you 252 square feet. Divide by 9 to get square yards, so that is 28.

You should have 60 inches (5 feet) on all sides for comfortable play. For example, if you are placing a standard bar size table in your rec room (3 1/2 x 7), your room would need to be 13 1/2 feet x 17 feet to allow unobstructed play. 4x8= 14x18 room, etc.
Enough to cover about 275 square feet. (That's 14 x 18 = 252 square feet, plus about 10% for waste). The square footage per carton varies according to different patterns of laminate, so check the cartons to see how many square feet are in each box. Then divide your total (275) by the SF per carton. The answer will be the number of cartons you should purchase.
