I don't think there is one. Some animals don't have a name for pregnant females.
Females of the dog species used to be called bitches, but that has turned into a "nasty" word, so some people try to avoid it by saying she-wolf or she-dog instead. And pregnant is pregnant, although the word "gravid" is also sometimes used.
Wolves are recognized as monogamist, which means that the same pair mate for life. It also known that only the Alpha male and female mate; except for the rare and smaller packs which allow two other wolves to mate as well. They mate during Winter. and there are times where they mate more than once.
After the season is over and the female is pregnant, the estimated time until delivery is 62 days, roughly two months. As the pups develop in the females womb, her characteristics will change.
Once she's pregnant, she immediately starts searching for a place to deliver, the Den. The den is usually a small burrow or cave near the domains of the pack. She spends most of the time there, virtually all the time. She does this because her physique will weaken, so she wouldn't be much use in hunting, and because they need to deliver as soon as possible. The den also needs to be near a source of water, like a river bank or creek bed.
However because of wolves nature, she's not alone. Wolves are very loving animals, very affectionate, nurturing, and caring. She would have frequent visits from pack members, even the alpha male, to support her; like deliver food and nurture her as the pups develop.
The female delivers the pups in Spring. While delivering, The number of pups delivered vary between 1 pup to 6 pups. When the pups are newborn, they are extremely weak against predators like cougars and coyotes, So the mother, the female, stays with them as the grow.
It's also known that the other females of the pack volunteer to nurture the pups as well, like nurse them as the mother ventures to the pack and back. The pups grow up fast, they learn how to get around fast, and they play around to strengthen themselves as well as show dominance.
Eventually when they are old enough, they are introduced to the pack; and because of their nature, the wolves of the pack care for the pups and teach them how to be part of the pack until they are old enough to take care of themselves and the pack itself.
The pack is also known as a family group, they are all related to each other by blood; except the few wolves who are adopted into the pack, like lone-wolves. The whole pack depends, not only on strength and dominance, but on the future generations that succeed them.
Queen, Or maybe a mother? It depends on the rank.
A pregnant wolf is called a pregnant wolf! and not just in this case , all animals are called in the same way. For example , a pregnant elephant, dog, cat, etc.
I've heard that it is "She-wolf" but that might not be true. Any member, feel free to improve this. :P
