Batteries in which the chemicals cannot be reconstituted into their original form once have been discharged are called primary cells. Primary cells originally had a negative electrode, actually the outside case of the cell, made of zinc, and the positive electrode was a carbon rod surrounded by a mixture of carbon and manganese dioxide. Newer primary cells, including the alkaline batteries that are in common use today, use different elements but follow this basic design.

Give example of primary secondary cells?

A primary cell can't be recharged, for example am ordinary 'D' cell, while secondary cells are rechargeable, e.g. one of the cells in a car battery.

Is duracell battery a primary or secondary battery?

First off, a battery is what you get when you stick several cells together, so for the most common 1.5 volts the strictly correct answer is that they are cells, not batteries. The 9 volt rectangular thingies though, they are batteries. Primary vs secondary is about rechargeable or not. A primary is not rechargeable, so a Duracell would most likely be a Primary cell.

How many hours does 56WHr 6 Cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery works with dell laptop mini 10?

What is the battery life of a 9 volt battery on a 3.5 volt of a bulb?

The battery life (assuming it is a primary cell) is determined by the Ampere-hour drawn from it. You cannot connect a 3.5V bulb directly to a 9V battery. The bulb will fuse.

Does a 12 volt battery contain four cells?

Usually not, but it may. The number of cells depends on the cell voltage, and to get a 12V, 4-cell battery you'd need to use a chemistry that gives a 3V cell voltage - which some Lithium-type primary cells do.

Is a primary cell the same as a battery cell?

Do not get confused with the term cells of biology or life science from physics, electronic or any other field. Primary cells are immune cells such as PBMCs. Monocytes under goes cell differentiation terminally to macrophages. In general, cell is a unit of life.
