A processing unit is a systematic, electronic device that can "think" for itself using codes and electronic sequences.

It is the part that runs the actual program. In a way, it's the center of the computer.

The processing of arithmetic calculations is primarily handled by the central processing unit (CPU) of a computer. Within the CPU, the arithmetic logic unit (ALU) performs the actual calculations, executing operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Additionally, software applications and programming languages provide the necessary instructions and algorithms to facilitate these calculations. Together, hardware and software enable efficient processing of arithmetic tasks.
In a typical word proccesing program this means you have overtype on. To turn this off, go to the bottom toolbar on the screen and double click the capital letter OVR and they should go gray. double click again to turn it back on. If your word proccesing program doesn't have this you can try clicking the zero key on the keypad located on the right side of the keypad. This should say Ins under it. Just press it once and your problem should be fixed. hope this helps!
To be blunt, the Core 2 duo has two proccesing cores while Core 2 quad has four proccessing cores.
A notebook computer is both an input, proccesing and output device. eg, keyboard inputs keypresses, proccesor processes them and screen outputs them as letters on the screen. Keyboard:Input Proccesor: um... processor Screen:Output
Input consists usually data that needs to be worked upon. The input is read in and the Central Proccesing Unit works on it as per a recipe (a program) and produces an output which is displayed or otherwise made available to the person who wants it with the input he/she provided. In some cases the output from one step can become the input to another step and so on until several steps are completed before the final output is presented or made available.
The Xbox has a custom-made IBM PowerPC microprocessor running at 3.2 GHz and has three symmetrical processing cores. This system is capable of 1 teraflop of computing power (one trillion floating point operations per second).
