promosis is sister to the word nemesis but plants a positive spin on this necessary fuction. generally we oppose our nemesis which helps define our shape. but in the process our nemesis must become twisted to fit our view of ourselves. instead of spurning this rival, by making them instead as our promosis, we emulate their strengths until they too our are own. then we become equals and they no longer a threat.
