There are divisions of protoplasm, such as cytoplasm - the liquid contents of the cell outside of the nucleus, and nucleoplasm - the liquid contents of the inside of the nucleus. It is composed of water, proteins, amino acids, nucleic acids, and other materials used within a cell.
