What is a punchunga?

A cute nickname in the Spanish language. For example, a woman might call her niece "my punchunga" or "punchungita." It could be like saying "my cutie" or some kind of pet name like that. Of course, I've only heard people say this word in Mexico while they are speaking Spanish. If there is another meaning for this word in America I couldn't tell you it.
