A rickshaw is a version of a taxi pulled by a man, either running or on a bike pulling a cart with people sitting in it. Popular in the orient.

Why do some people live in Dhaka?

From villages, where economy depends only on agriculture. Now with modernization, using hi-tech, machinaries, hi-yeald seeds, there is less need of working hands. Day by day people have no jobs. On top, during rainy season the is almost have no farming, lands are under water. So nothing to do. Villagers can't remain unfed. So they migrate to places where some temporary unskilled jobs are available (like richshaw pulling, labor in brick fields, crushing bolders manually etc etc). This is how the biggest city, Dhaka the capital has to accept migratory jobless, money less, helpless people everyday.
