Yes, because if you are representing a criminal, and you fail to convince the judge and crowd of the criminal's innocence, the criminal might go after you because of your failure. VERY rare occurance, but it can happen. my guess is that it has a 0.00009% chance of happening.

No, because if you succeed in the criminal's case, you are safe. If you are on the victim's side, whether you succeed or fail, your safe.

Other than that, the job is a well paying one. Since a judge is connected to a lawyer, the same rules apply to a judge. Sometimes, a bribe is given to judges to say that the accused is innocent. Also a rare occurance.
