The Mech Crank and the Mech steam motor are needed to complete the Mech walker that is in the garage next to Sully's. It was being rebuilt by Zack. The Mech motor is at the far right in the production zone. (Farther up is the Living Quarters key, in a closet behind the monster plant.) You will need the dirty beaker from the Museum and the Rubber Mallet from Sully's trash box. Once you have the motor and the Living Quarters key, get the Mech crank from the vines above and left of the Living Quarters, and you can rebuild the Mech. Its Weed Wacker is the only way to enter the storage rooms at the far left.
There are no windows that open inward on Steamworks Island. There is a skylight in the City Hall that can be opened with the Multi-Tool. You go out the hatch above Zack's room in the living quarters, to reach the Mech Crank on the vines.
Check fuel pump or sending unit. Good luck

Sprocket the little helper robot will turn on if you ring the bell. The Mech Walker needs two parts to make it work, and both require you to enter the Production Zone to the right of the island, across the bridge. The Mech motor is there on a conveyor belt in the Greenhouse, and the Mech crank is on a vine far above the Living Quarters way back at the left of the island -- you will need to go through the Living Quarters to reach it. (see the related question)
1 pound of quarters is $20. Based on the space used in the jug, the amount of quarters inside can vary, but it should be slightly above 200 lbs. This means that a 5 gallon jug filled only with quarters should hold over $4,000.
