The series of events that cells go through as they grow and divide is known as the cell cycle. The effect that cell division have on the surface area of the original cell is that it increases.
Cell Cycle
Hi,
The cell cycle contains the serious of all events which the cell goes through throughout its life. There are to parts to the cell cycle: Interphase and Cell Division. Interphase is split into three parts, the Growth 1phase, S Phase, and Growth 2 phase. The G1phase is when the cell grows in size and grows out organelles that it did not acquire through cytokinesis. The S phase is the phase in which the DNA material of the cell duplicates. The G2 phase is more growth and preparation for division. Cell division is split into two parts, the division of the DNA and the division of the cell body. The division of DNA can be either mitosis or meiosis depending on the type of cell. During this process the duplicated DNA is split in half again. The division of body is called cytokinesis. It simply pinches the cell body (if animal cell) into two.

Some to do with cells
The cell cycle is the series of events that cells go through as they grow and divide.
because cancer happens when control over the cell cycle has broken down the cell cycle is the series of events that cells go through as they grow and divide, and cancer is a disorder in which some of the body's cells lose the ability to control growth
Both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells divide; eukaryotic cells through mitosis, prokaryotic cells through binary fission.
Specialized cells, unlike stem cell, cannot undergo mitosis or cell division. Through terminal differentiation, specialized cells gave up their ability to divide in order to do one specific function.
Yes, endothelial cells divide. It is important that these cells divide to replace old/dead cells and to create new blood vessels.

Stem cells can divide to produce new stem cells to replace themselves.
All the cells that divide in your body, except for sex cells, which divide through meiosis, divide by mitosis.

Every cell, except reproductive cells, in any living organism divide through mitosis. Reproductive cells divide through meiosis.
bone marrow cells will divide through binary fission
No, human cells divide by mitosis and meiosis.
