The group that is the standard against which results are compared is called the control group. This group receives no treatment or a standard treatment, allowing researchers to compare the effects of the treatment being tested.
Standard error is the difference between a researcher's actual findings and their expected findings. Standard error measures the accuracy of one's predictions. Standard deviation is the difference between the results of one's experiment as compared with other results within that experiment. Standard deviation is used to measure the consistency of one's experiment.
A control group serves as a standard against which experimental results can be compared. By keeping all variables constant except for the one being tested, researchers can determine the specific impact of the variable on the outcome.
Short scale basses typically have a warmer and rounder sound compared to standard scale basses. This is because the shorter length of the strings on a short scale bass results in less tension, which can produce a more mellow and thumpy tone.

Acupuncture has been shown to be an effective treatment for various conditions, especially when compared to standard care methods. In one study, about 60 percent of patients who received acupuncture improved, compared with only 39 percent of patients who received standard care without acupuncture. Another study from the National Institutes of Health showed positive results with using acupuncture to reduce lower-back pain.
The times and dates of when the Maharastra 7th Standard Scholarship results will be announced varies from year to year. As of June 2014 the results do not appear to be available online yet.
