Storm Petrels are the smallest seabird, and are found in all oceans. They eat crustaceans and small fish near the surface of the water. They catch their prey by hovering just above the surface. Their flight is vary bat-like. When it comes to mating rituals, they form long term bonds in pairs, and share the duties of incubation. They are colonial nesters, which means they return to their original birthplace/nesting place. There is only one species that does not return to the breeding place nocturnally.

Hope this helped!!

A sea-faring bird which flies over the ocean. James Edward Oglethorpe was said to have lit a stormy petrel on fire and follow it through the storm and fog to shore while he was lost at sea.
