∙ 12y agoThe Sirens were 3 sea nymphs (Peisinoe, Aglaope & Thelxiepeia) who had the power to lure men to their deaths with their enchanting and charming siren song. When Odysseus came near the island of Anthemoessa on which the Sirens had settled, he and his companions stuffed their ears with wax (on the advice of Circe) and Odysseus tied himself to the mast of his vessel, until he was so far off he could no longer hear their song.
