A supermassive black hole is a an extremely large black hole, in the order of possibly billions of solar masses. They are thought to have formed from stellar black holes that managed to absorb enough mass from other objects, even other black holes and that they, without outside forces, can go on forever because they're so large that they absorb enough background radiation to compensate for the mass lost from radiating Hawking radiation. It is also thought they may have originally formed from black holes from collapsed gas clouds.
There is thought to be a supermassive black hole at the center of every galaxy.

∙ 14y agoSupermassive is an adjective, and a black hole is a collapsed star, which drags in and destroys everything surrounding, including light. It is said that there is one in the centre of our galaxy, but no-one is sure.

∙ 14y agoBlackholes are only depend on there potential components or power. It uses up its massive power when he have a Great potential power. It's suck the objects about 3km. away from their current mass. It is called Schwarzchild radius. Blackholes are not always black all around. As gas falls down a black hole, it actually creates a light show.
