In 1930, Pluto was considered to be the ninth planet from the Sun.
But, after the discovery of similar worlds deeper in the distant of the Kuiper Belt, icy Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet. Which meant that Pluto was demoted (a very controversial decision) and was no longer considered a planet in our solar system, which I think was a shame.
