well, i am a christian myself and one thing christians dont celebrate is halloween. another thing is that well ....... you should just attend a christian church yourself ,then youll know . bye

Christian itself is not a religion, it is a group of religions. Also you can go trick or treating, maybe the above post means that we do not celebrate it like the Pagans.

Christianity is the only religion which rejects self-righteousness. Every other way of interpreting the world around us involves allowing, and in many cases promoting, yourself to be righteous through your own works. This is what makes Christianity different from all other religions. A Christian is righteous through Jesus Christ according to the standard God has set as acceptable to him for his forgiveness of our sins. Every other religion uses a relative standard to judge oneself, set by arbitrary and relative assertions the "correctness" of which changes over time when the majority of believers decide it should be changed. A Christian acknowledges The Bible as an accurate account of history and uses the information it contains to determine the desires and attributes of God, thus obtaining an absolute source of standards because God never changes his desires or attributes. If Christians seem stubborn to you it is because truth is stubborn - it will not change no matter how much people dislike it. The Bible can be trusted when it speaks of heavenly and spiritual things (that which we cannot observe and test in the present) because when it speaks about earthly and physical things which we CAN observe and test it is found to be accurate. It has earned our trust. The Bible speaks about a catastrophic event in the history of the earth commonly called "Noah's Flood" which was a massive, worldwide, yearlong, planet-destroying flood which occurred just a few thousand years ago. We can look at the planet we live on in the present and observe that it is approximately 70 - 75 percent covered in water, that what land is not under water is about 70 - 75 percent sedimentary rocks, that sedimentary rocks only form in the presence of water, that buried in these sedimentary rocks are billions of dead things which require a flash-flood burial in limy concrete-like solutions in order to become fossilized, that the sediments of the earth are often sorted into layers which only happens in the presence of water, that randomly scattered throughout these layers are fossilized trees which run through many different layers at the same time indicating that the layers were deposited in less than the span of time it takes a tree to rot - not millions of years or "periods" or "epochs" of time, and that such a geological event would mean that anything built on top of such deposits must have been constructed after such an event thus establishing a limiting factor in the buildings' or historical events' age - it must have happened after such a disaster. This ties into the spiritual aspects of the Bible because Jesus Christ quoted from the Book of Genesis as if it were real history - he took it seriously - the same book which speaks of the great flood speaks of Adam and Eve and how they sinned and brought death into the once perfect world God had created. If we can trust the earthly things the Bible speaks of then we can trust the heavenly things too like when it says that Jesus is the only way to become acceptable to God through his death for our sins. That Jesus was sinless because he had no earthly father - he was born to a virgin. That the shedding of blood is required for the forgiveness of sins and since an animal is not acceptable for the remission of human sins a perfect human was required. That the penalty for sin is death. That because of our sin inherited from our earthly fathers we have all earned the death penalty (thanks alot Adam!) That Jesus became the substitute sacrifice for our sins by a atoning for them with his death, burial, and resurrection and that anybody who changes their mind about their sin, accepts what Jesus did as their means of becoming righteous to God through Christ's works rather than their own, and asks for God to forgive them becomes forgiven by God and accepted into the family of Christ to live forever with him. Facts about Christianity? All of reality is facts about Christianity - it is a matter of accepting them as such and interpreting them is a consistent manner. It was once said that when you climb the mountain of truth you will find that the Christians have been sitting at the top all along.

First, what are you considering to be the "true religion?" Second, stating that a religion is oppositie a "true religion," could insinuate that the "true" is somehow superior to the other. Because of these two points, particularly the first, I don't think your question can be answered.

Does nationalism get or lose support from religion?

Depends on three factors. If the religion is true. If the people are true. If the nationalism is true. From the Christian perspective, God said He would avenge His children speedily. That can only be good for a nation, and nationalism in general; but not just any old nationalism. Just, good honest genuine care of what is for the good of your nation. On the other hand; were a religion false, then that is not good. In fact; it could get you and the whole country; blown to smithereens. If the religion is true, but the people are not; then that too is bad. God is not going to avenge an unrighteous nation, no sir.
