Climate
Weather refers to atmospheric phenomena including temperature and precipitation and clouds and wind, that are happening at a particular place at a particular time; climate describes the usual kind of weather that is found in a particular place throughout the year, and atmospheric temperature is just the heat or coldness of the air.
Seasonally warm refers to a period within a particular season where the temperatures are higher than usual. This could be due to factors such as climate patterns, geographical location, or natural variations in weather.
A cold snap is a cold time period in the spring that is not usual, and it is a period of harsh coldness and very dry weather.
A stopover tourist is a person who visits a another place outside their usual environment for a short period of time.
To "linger on" means to stay in a place longer than necessary or to spend more time on something than is usual. It can also refer to focusing on or dwelling on a particular thought or feeling for an extended period of time.
