Nearly all weak verbs are regular. They add -s in the 3rd person singular (he/she/it); they form the simple past by adding -ed (or -t) and form the past participle in the same way. Examples: * talk - he talks - talked - talked * wonder - wonders - wondered - wondered There are some minor irregularities with some verbs, such as say - says - said - said. Contrast with strong verbs.

What is a weak static verb?

A weak static verb, also known as a stative verb, refers to a verb that describes a state or condition rather than an action. These verbs typically convey feelings, thoughts, possession, or existence, such as "to be," "to know," "to love," or "to have." Unlike dynamic verbs, they do not indicate a change or progression but rather represent a static state. In many cases, weak static verbs are not used in the continuous (progressive) form.
