A "year" on Venus is the time it takes to orbit the Sun. That's about 225 Earth days ( 224.7 Earth days to be more exact).

Venus's rotational period (sidereal day) is 243 Earth days, and it is the only planet that has true retrograde rotation, spinning very slowly clockwise as seen from above (North of) the plane of the solar system.

The combination of 225-day year and reverse 243-day spin produces a "solar day" (sunrise to sunrise, roughly speaking) of 116.75 Earth days.

However, the sunrise and sunset can never actually be seen from the surface because of the permanent, thick cloud cover on Venus.
About 243 Earth days.

Because it is closer to the Sun and has a shorter orbit, it takes Venus only about 225 Earth days (224.7 days) to go around the Sun.
