Aboitc is something that is not alive for example a desk, a headband, eraser etc...

There are six characteristics that make an object biotic (something that is alive) if the object does not apply to one or more it is abiotc :

  • Has a lifespan
  • Produces waste
  • Grows and/or reproduces
  • Needs food and energy
  • Has a reaction (eg. if you kick a ball the ball will roll)
  • Has cells (Biological)
