It means that there is a malfunction of at least one of the ABS (anti-lock Brake System) components in the system. Quick overview of a typical ABS system on any modern vehicle consists of wheel speed sensors at each wheel or in your case on your F-350 you have 2 up front at each wheel and one in your rear differential which monitors your ring gear rotation rather then an individual wheel speed. Those sensors monitor wheel speed at all times while the vehicle is in motion. If one or all of them sense erratic MPH reading that doesn't match vehicle speed in a non-panic stop situation that is one way the abs light will come on. Their is also a hydraulic control system which is the brain and the motor that activates the system in a panic stop situation. This unit is very expensive and rarely fail. When a panic stop happens and this unit reads no wheel speed (wheel lock-up) and vehicle speed is let's say 50mph it will create super, super, super fast pulse to the calipers hydraulics which applies and releases pressure to the affected 0 MPH wheel which then either eliminates lock up or minimises it to almost nothing. The system is very complex and should be diagnosed and repaired by a professional because of safety issues and the fact that when the ABS light is on the system is locked out and doesn't operate at ALL. Kind of hard to explain hope this helps chances are that one of your wheel speed sensor are reading incorrectly. I'd bet my right arm that's it's your rear differential speed sensor that is bad. Very common for that one to fail first due to higher heat in the differential. Good luck
