when acid rain falls, it causes every surface it touches to freeze on contact, creating a magical mystifying landscape similar to that of Narnia. so in theory, pollution is actually a good thing and large emissions of CO2 will not hurt the environment, but actually stimulate it (when combined with rain of course) to counteract popular belief of liberals such as mr. failure himself, Al Gore, of destruction of rain forests, but growth and beautiful Narnian landscapes that will capture the hearts of all!

Acid rain is pretty much exactly what it sounds like - contamination of normal rain water (typical pH between 6.8 and 7.2) with acidic compounds like sulfuric acid, which drops the pH into the acidic range.

This causes significant issues in the environment because it changes the acid/base balance wherever it falls. This can change the soil chemistry, upset the aquatic cycles and even effect where precipitation falls at.

Acid rain is rain that has become (slightly) acidic. It is caused by the water in the rain reacting with chemicals present in air pollution. That pollution often comes from industries and vehicles
well its rain for one thing!! and its got acid in it!!

"Acid rain" is a broad term used to describe several ways that acids fall out of the atmosphere. A more precise term is acid deposition, which has two parts: wet and dry.

Wet deposition refers to acidic rain, fog, and snow. As this acidic water flows over and through the ground, it affects a variety of plants and animals. The strength of the effects depend on many factors, including how acidic the water is, the chemistry and buffering capacity of the soils involved, and the types of fish, trees, and other living things that rely on the water.

It causes acid rain because the soil loses a substance called "perioxdate" which helps the plant grow. In climate changes, this substance evaporates and damages the environment. The chemical composition of normal rain alterates with this component and acidizices.
