supination
supination
The term that means turning the palm upward or forward is "supination." This movement is commonly used in anatomy to describe the position of the forearm and hand. In contrast, the opposite movement, where the palm is turned downward or backward, is called "pronation."
Supination is the term for turning the palm upward.
The act of turning the palm or palmar surface of the forefoot downward., That motion of the forearm whereby the palm or palmar, surface is turned downward., The position of the limb resulting from the act of pronation. Opposed to supination.
An example of supination would be turning the hand so the palm is upward, and pronation is turning of the hand so the palm is facing posteriorly.Pronation derives from prone ... lying down on your face. Thus pronation is the act of turning face down (e.g. putting your palm down on a table)Supination is the opposite act.Supination is a position of either the forearm or foot; in the forearm when the palm faces anteriorly, or faces up while pronation refers to the inward roll of the foot during normal motion and occurs as the outer edge of the heel strikes the ground and the foot rolls inward
Turning the palm backward or downward is called pronation. This movement involves rotation of the forearm so that the palm faces downward or backward.

Your palm tree may be turning yellow due to a lack of nutrients, overwatering, pests, or disease. It is important to identify the specific cause and take appropriate action to help your palm tree recover.
Your palm tree may be turning yellow and brown due to overwatering, nutrient deficiencies, pests, diseases, or environmental stress. It is important to properly diagnose the issue to provide the appropriate treatment for your palm tree.
Levorotation is the act of turning to the left.
I am not sure what you mean by "turned backwards". If you are standing up or sitting upright in a chair, the act of turning the fore arm so that the palm of the hand is turned to the floor is PRONATION (Latin pronare, bent forwards). If standing up, the palm of the hand is turned to the sky or as if to scoop soup, this is SUPPINATION (Latin supinare, lay back). The same is true with the feet: turning your feet so that you can look at the upper side and outer edge of your foot foot and your small toe is pronation; turning your foot to see your soles is supination.
