A post training and development assesment is concise report written by the trainer with respect to how the employee performed throughout the course of the T&D. It typically includes comments on areas in which the employee performed well and areas in which the employee has the greatest opportunity to improve. It also typically includes a recommended plan of action of what further T&D is necessary in order to get the employees performance up to expected standards in the areas in which they were having difficulty.
The application of the T&D assessment varies from company to company. For example, some companies share the report with the employees supervisor as well as the employee, and other companies share it only with the supervisor.
