What is alliterateion?

Alliteration is a literary device where you repeat the first sound in several words near each other. Such as: "the loud louse lounged lazily all day," where the "l" sound is repeated, or such as: "careful crabs don't walk on broken bridges," where both the 'c' and 'b' sounds are repeated.
